The knowledge on regional anatomy makes a dermatosurgeon more competent in performing surgical procedures. The anatomy and its applied aspects are important in planning surgeries. There exist significant variations in the skin of each region and with relationship to underlying structures, expected functional alterations and skin tension lines. A good understanding of the anatomy, circulation, innervation, function and cosmesis is important before performing a surgical procedure. It not only aids in planning surgical procedures but also to reduce complications and give optimum results. This chapter gives an overview on the regional anatomy of skin biomechanics, neck, tarso, hand, foot and external genitalia. A brief description on the basic skin structure has been provided in this chapter.
