This book focuses on gynecologic and breast pathology. This fellowship is a one-year program with combined training in diagnostic gynecologic and breast surgical pathology. The objective of this fellowship is to competency in the morphologic criteria in all types of breast and gynecologic specimens, ability to incorporate molecular and other advanced techniques into the practice of breast and gynecologic pathology, ability to make diagnoses and provide differential diagnoses on all types of breast and gynecologic specimens, and ability to understand the clinical impact of the diagnoses. This book consists of 7 chapters, which include vulva, vagina and cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovary, placenta, breast, and immunohistochemistry and genetics. This book describes in the question and answer format that contains over 350 questions. Most of the questions and answers are textual, but some questions are based on microphotographs of important pathologic entities. Accordingly, this book has included over 115 color microphotographs including immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization images. For readers who are pathologists, such data are already essential components of their diagnostic workload. For gynecologists, surgeons and oncologists, these topics are becoming more and more important because in many instances new genetic data may critically direct the modalities of treatment of their patients.
