The Textbook of Anatomy for BSc Nursing Students depicts basic concepts in anatomy mainly for nursing and paramedical students and as a foundation for the medical undergraduates too. It is a comprehensive compendium presenting the anatomical facts and concepts necessary to fully understand the three dimensional dynamic structure of the human body. Topics discussed in anatomy include introduction to anatomical terms and organization of the human body, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous system, sensory organs, circulatory and lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, the excretory system (urinary system), endocrine system, reproductive system, and appendix. A chapter on genetics is deliberately included for students who are preparing for PG entrance examination of different universities worldwide. The book includes 620 neatly labeled diagrams, new line diagrams, around 130 colored photographs of bones and histology slides, as well as nursing implications, wherever necessary, to create an interest for the students in the diseases and other applied aspects. The book has been designed according to the latest Indian Nursing Council (INC) Syllabus to meet the demands of contemporary education in the field of nursing.
