Abstract

Computed tomography (CT) angiography is a type of medical test that combines a CT scan with an injection of a special dye to produce pictures of blood vessels and tissues in a part of the body. The dye is injected through an intravenous (IV) line started in the arm or hand. This chapter covers the indications of CTA, contraindications of CTA, risk factors of CTA, benefits of CTA, subclavian angiography, pulmonary angiography, mesenteric angiography, thoracoabdominal aorta, iliac angiography, renal angiography, computed tomography portography, and CT arteriography or CT arterioportography. In this chapter, multiple choice questions are provided along with their answers.
