The aim of this textbook is to focus on the neurology. Neurology is a field in medical sciences which has made phenomenal progress over the last two decades. Advancement in technology has changed our understanding of many diseases leading to improvement of patient care. Textbooks provide rapid access to the current status of the diseases and serve as ready reference for the physicians. This textbook consists of 12 sections following as headache, neuroinfections, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, central nervous system demyelination, dementia and cognitive disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neurotoxicology, neurorehabilitation, recent advances, and miscellaneous, which are further divided into 111 chapters. Each section is dedicated to one subspecialty of neurology. The book chapters are comprehensive, well-written, and carry information with special emphasis on Indian scenario. It is well documented that prevalence, presentations, genetics, and treatment response of various neurological diseases have significant regional variation. The references quoted are extensive and will guide interested readers for further reading.
