This chapter presents the concept of author declaration. Being an important component of manuscript submission, it includes submission of ethical clearance letter, declaration of conflict of interest, copyright form, etc. The name, affiliation with address, phone number/s, and email address of the corresponding author is very much essential to submit. As the corresponding author is fully responsible for the submission of manuscript over the journal’s submission process his contact details are essential. When submitting a paper, the author should always make a full disclosure along with the submission about all previous papers that might be regarded as redundant or duplicate publication of the same. In redundant publication, the same data may be presented in more than one publication without referencing. All the contributing author/s should sign the author declaration form or paper that declares the contribution of author/s at individual level, so that it does not infringe any copyright of the previous authors; the article has not been published either whole or any part of it somewhere else; the entire author has taken the responsibility as they have contributed sufficiently in the article; and all author/s have reviewed the article before submission of manuscript and approved accordingly for publication. The chapter also discusses other topics like conflict of interest, ethical issues, human rights and code of ethics, patient consent, copyright, and acknowledgments.
