The aim of this chapter is to introduce the anthelmintics. Anthelmintics are drugs that are used to treat infections with parasitic worms. This includes both flat worms, e.g., flukes and tapeworms and round worms. This chapter covers albendazole and mebendazole along with their indication, dose, contraindication, precaution, adverse effect, and drug interaction. Echinococcosis, neurocysticercosis, enterobiasis, ascariasis, hookworm infection, and giardiasis are the indications of albendazole. Ascariasis, trichuriasis, hookworm infection, and filariasis are the indications of mebendazole.
