Calcium is an important mineral component of our diet. Calcium supplementation can play a valuable role in bone health throughout the lifecycle. This chapter covers the calcium dobesilate, calcium carbonate, calcium orotate, and calcitriol along with their indication, dose, contraindication, precaution, adverse effect, and drug interaction. Peripheral circulatory disorders and rectally for hemorrhoids are the indication of calcium dobesilate. Hypersensitivity, pregnancy and lactation are the contraindication of calcium dobesilate. Hyperacidity and hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic renal failure are the indication of calcium carbonate. Osteoporosis, osteomalacia/rickets, hypothyroidism, latent tetany, hypo-calcemia, and postmenopausal osteoporosis are the indication of calcium orotate.
