This chapter describes the drug for ear, eye, and nasal preparation, which include sodium chloride, gentamicin, cyclopentolate, fluticasone, flurbiprofen, pilocarpine, mometasone, framycetin, tropicamide, hydrocortisone, calcitonin, oxymetazoline, xylometazoline, dorzolamide, moxifloxacin, fluorometholone, timolol, chlorhexidine, homatropine, naphazoline, boric acid, carbomer, gramicidin, and azelastine. Biliary tract infection, brucellosis, cat starch disease, cystic fibrosis, endocarditis, endometritis, gastroenteritis, granuloma inguinale, listeriosis, meningitis, otitis externa, pelvic inflammatory disease, peritonitis, plague, pneumonia, and septicemia are the indications of gentamicin. History of hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside, pregnancy, hepatic impairment, and perforated eardrum are the contraindications of gentamicin. Asthma prophylaxis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, allergic rhinitis, and corticosteroid responsive dermatoses are the indications of fluticasone.
