Abstract

This chapter describes measurement of height and weight (BMI). Instrument used to measure height is stadiometer. Client has to remove shoes or slippers. Client has to stand erect with the legs together. Zero of tape has to be exact at foot level. A sliding horizontal head piece over the ruler will be lowered down to rest in top of the head. Height is measured in terms of inches or centimeters. Measuring height for bedridden patients, Measurement of ulna length, Weech\'s formula to calculate expected weight, and Weech\'s formula to calculate expected height are also described in the table format.
