The assessment and management of suicide risk is conducted within a collaborative partnership between the relevant health services, the person at risk of suicide and their family. Suicide risk assessment generates a clinician rating of the risk that the person will attempt suicide in the immediate period. High-risk and low-risk factors of suicide, warning signs of suicide, suicide assessment five-step evaluation and triage (safe-T), sad persons scale, score interpretation of SAD persons scale, and management of violent behavior are discussed in this chapter.
