This chapter describes body fluids, IV fluids, blood products and blood transfusion reaction in the table format. Types of IV fluids are crystalloids, colloids, and blood products. Crystalloid solutions contain small molecules that flow easily across cell membranes allows transfer from blood stream to body tissues. Colloid solutions contain large molecule that doesn’t flow across cell membranes. Classification of blood products, blood component, and blood transfusion reaction are also discussed in this chapter.
