Radiofrequency technique has now become an established treatment modality for surgical and nonsurgical applications in dermatologic surgery as well as in aesthetic dermatology for office and hospital-based practice. The basic physical difference between radiofrequency and electrocautery is in three parameters—type of electric current, electric circuit, and temperature of treating electrode. Electrocautery is the best tool for destroying a skin lesion than cutting or excising it; it is an easiest to use tool because of its excellent property of hemostasis. The chapter covers radiofrequency surgery rehearsal, universal precautions before any radiofrequency procedure, radiofrequency application, prerequisites of office radiofrequency surgery and shave excision method, amongst others.
