Abstract

The objective of this chapter is to introduce the miscellaneous topics that include Bell’s palsy (VII cranial nerve palsy), restless legs syndrome, and head injury. Bell’s palsy is fairly commonly seen in clinical practice and is often confused for a stroke if it happens in an elderly person. The sudden onset of facial palsy is preceded by pain behind the ipsilateral ear. Restless legs syndrome is an eminently treatable condition that is often missed in clinical practice. The legs are meant for walking and they become restless when rested. The treatment is with clonazepam and Antiparkinson’s drugs like pramipexole and ropinirole.
