Abstract

Glaucoma stands for a group of various eye diseases that have a few things in common—damage of the optic nerve, narrowing and loss of the visual field, increased ocular pressure, and ultimately loss of vision and blindness. The significance and importance of the features offered by optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography (OCTA) are unquestionable in all macular and retinal diseases. This chapter covers the analysis of peripapillary capillary network by OCTA, optic disk vascularization, and glaucoma. Optical coherence tomography angiography precisely shows capillary flow inside the optic disk and is able to localize and visualize lamina cribrosa. Changes in the capillary plexus in the optic disk are analyzed in the same way and according to the same criteria as the peripapillary capillary network. The eye with/without various conditions of glaucoma is described in this chapter.
