Abstract

This chapter discusses the objectives of human resources in order to provide a clean, safe, healthy and enjoyable working environment. The number of employees to be taken by a department will depend on the number of patients, number of beds, number of procedures, type of care, specializations, cost of manpower, revenue, infrastructure, etc. based on assessment of man power requirement made by the hospital. Every newly joined employee or doctor has to undergo training on orientation to the job in the department concerned. The duration of orientation training may extent up to 30 days depending upon the nature of job and position.
