Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to focus on the stress in infertility. It is well accepted that many body functions of an individual are controlled by that person’s mind, which is called body and mind relationship. Thus, a psychological stress or unrest influences an individual’s reproductive process. Mental stress itself is an important factor for lowering the success rate in infertility treatment. Some research indicates that stress may have an impact on other aspect of infertility beyond ovulation, including problem with fertilization and implantation. Psychological support in the infertility clinic is offered in an informal way. Easy and relaxed environment in the clinic along with friendly behavior from all the clinic staffs are encouraging. Help is given in decision-making.
