Abstract

The Ankylos SynCone system aims to combine the technical precisions with cost-effective prosthesis using prefabricated components. The SynCone concept combines the capability of the Ankylos progressively tapered screw implants to withstand immediate loading with an innovative telescopic crown technique. It has been long proven that removable dentures can be successfully retained with telescopic crowns. However, the high cost and labor intensive laboratory procedures did not make this superior concept suitable in routine dental practice. The Ankylos SynCone concept is also very versatile. It can be used successfully for immediate or late loading depending upon the bone quality and the primary stability of the placed implants. Three cases related to the immediately loaded implant supported prosthesis with SynCone are also discussed in this chapter. 41 well-colored clinical figures are also presented in this chapter.
