Pharmacy is the science that deals with knowledge and art of compounding and dispatching drugs along with their identification, selection, preservation, combination, analysis, and standardization. Preparation of magnesium sulfate purgative, carminative mixture, calamine lotion, gamma benzene hexachloride ointment, atropine sulfate eye ointment, and oral rehydration salt powder are discussed briefly throughout this chapter.
