by Sriram Bhat M

This book is a comprehensive guide to clinical methods in surgery for medical students. This book is divided into 6 sections that focus on examination in general surgery, examination in abdominal and related conditions, examination in specialized areas, examination in trauma, clinical methods in orthopedics, and miscellaneous. The main aim of this edition is to reduce the pages of the book so that the students can carry it easily to the patient’s bedside and make the best use of it without altering or reducing the essential contents. All the aspects of history taking and clinical examinations of surgical cases are described in detail with good photographs so as to make it understandable for the students. Many new photographs are added. In the discussion part, various differential diagnoses are discussed and accordingly a lot of changes are made so as to reduce the unnecessary text. Separate chapters to discuss X-rays, instruments, and exam-oriented specimens are included briefly in this book.
