The aim of this book is to focus on Comprehensive Ophthalmology. This book is divided into six sections, appreciated by the audience, and has been retained as such. However, various topics have been linked with appropriate competencies as per the CBME curriculum. The first 5 sections are devoted to anatomy and physiology of eye, optics and refraction, diseases of eye and ocular adnexa, ocular therapeutics, and systemic and community ophthalmology. Section 6 is devoted to practical ophthalmology. Each chapter begins with a chapter outline highlighting the topics covered and learning objectives as per CBME competencies, followed by relevant applied anatomy and physiology. The text is then organized in such a way that the students can easily understand, retain, and reproduce it. Various levels of headings, subheadings, bold face, and italics given in the text will be helpful for a quick revision of the subject. Operative steps of important surgical techniques have been given in the relevant chapters. Tables and flow charts are used in plenty to highlight the important points.
