Numerous new agents have been introduced for the management of psoriasis, including oral therapies such as a phosphodiesterase-4 enzyme inhibitor and injectable biologic agents. The therapeutic preferences for conditions such as tinea, candidiasis, and hair loss have changed, and new topical treatments have been developed for acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, and pigmentary disorders.
