Illustrated Dermatology Including Skin of Color

by Yasaman Mansouri, Howard Maibach

The fourth edition of this atlas is a comprehensive guide to the diagnosis and treatment of dermatologic diseases and disorders. This book consists of 9 chapters, which include scalp, face and neck, genitals, groin, and axillae, extremities, trunk and generalized, tumors, lumps, and marks, diagnostic procedures, formulary, and patient guides. Numerous new agents have been introduced for the management of psoriasis, including oral therapies such as a phosphodiesterase-4 enzyme inhibitor and injectable biologic agents. The therapeutic preferences for conditions such as tinea, candidiasis, and hair loss have changed, and new topical treatments have been developed for acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, and pigmentary disorders. The author has revised each chapter carefully and tried to make this edition even more practical than the previous one and included any new treatments that are useful for the intended audience. This book is intended for nondermatologists, such as physicians in primary care, medical students, nurses, and physician assistants, who wish to increase their knowledge of this vast field and is highly applicable to daily practice.
