Abstract

Infections are commonly seen with many endodontic conditions. Unfortunately, pain is also well associated with endodontics, at least in the public’s mind. However, fortunately, for pain relief through drugs is readily available. In addition to pain, another common condition seen with endodontic patients is anxiety. A large number of antianxiety drugs are available. One must know the actions and reactions of the drugs and also their indications, contraindications, side effects, toxicity, half-life, and any interaction the newly prescribed drug may have with other drugs the patient may be taking.
