Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn infant. It is a hospital-based specialty and is usually practiced in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). This book “Atlas and Synopsis of Neonatology” is divided into seven sections covering about 250 neonatal topics with useful, informative and significant clinical details has a format comparable to the best available currently in the global market. This book cover common as well as not so common problems in neonatology. The format of this Atlas makes reading enjoyable. Color photographs are sharp and clear. Each photograph is accompanied by brief description and information related to clinical features, etiopathogenesis, differential diagnosis and treatment of the condition. Clinical phenomenon, skin disorders, infections, systemic disorders, associations, malformations and genetic disorders, and iatrogenic disorders are broadly discussed in the first six sections of this book. The last section deals with cultural practices in our community is a unique feature to this book and informs readers that not all such practices are safe or effective.
