This book discusses textbook of focused neurosurgery. The Textbook of Focused Neurosurgery fulfills a unique role by combining the need for details and comprehensive information about pathophysiological processes, neuroanatomical landmarks and neurosurgical procedures with the limited amount of available time allocated for studies in modern-day residents and clinicians’ life. This book consists of 28 chapters. The first portion of the book consists of an overview of relevant surgical and vascular anatomy, and neurophysiology. Acquisition of this knowledge is the fundamental keystone for the rational practice of clinical neurosurgery. Early chapters then focus on neurology including altered states of consciousness, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-otology and neuro-urology. Information on cortical malformation provides the foundation of a subsequent chapter on pediatric neurosurgery. The neuroradiology chapter covers various techniques vital to the practice of neurosurgery. Subsequent chapters then deal with the breadth of neurosurgical diseases such as hydrocephalus, central nervous system infections, diagnosis of epilepsy, functional disorders, cranial tumors and vascular diseases. Trauma and traumatic injuries of the spine and their treatment are also cover in this book.
