This chapter discusses the supraventricular tachycardias: ventricular pacing maneuvers. Ventricular pacing maneuvers are often performed from the right ventricular apex as this is usually a stable position for the catheter, but diagnostic limitations of this location could warrant positioning the catheter at the basal portion of the ventricle. Specifically, when identifying a retrograde. His-bundle potential, pacing at the ventricular apex often results in a ventricular electrogram on the His catheter and a retrograde His-bundle potential that is concurrent with the ventricular portion of the electrogram, making its identification challenging. Differential right ventricular pacing, VA conduction, Para-Hisian pacing, delta VA interval, delta HA interval are the various ventricular pacing maneuvers during sinus rhythm. Ventricular pacing maneuvers during tachycardia are also provided in this chapter.
