This chapter describes the nodular lesions of the liver. Classifications of nodular lessions of the liver are macroregenerative nodules, dysplastic nodules, nodular regenerative hyperplasia, focal nodular hyperplasia, hepatocellular adenoma or liver cell adenoma, mesenchymal hamartoma, hemangioendothelioma, hepatocellular carcinoma, variants, cholangiocarcinoma, hepatoblastoma, embryonal sarcoma, and metastatic carcinoma are briefly explained in this chapter. Macroregenerative nodules are multiacinar regenerative nodules containing (less than 1) several portal tracts, generally at least 5 mm in diameter. They are also called large regenerative nodule. They are similar in color and texture to surrounding liver.
