The objective of this chapter is to introduce the chronic hepatitis. Chronic hepatitis is defined as symptomatic, serological or biochemical evidence of a relapsing or continuing illness for more than 6 months with histopathological documentation of inflammation and hepatocyte necrosis/loss with fibrosis.
