This chapter deals with interfollicular pattern which include honeycomb pigment, interfollicular scales, white patches, and vessels. Honeycomb pigmented network consists of homogenous mosaic of contiguous brownish rings. It resembles pigmented network of melanocytic lesions on dermoscopy. This pattern is found in normal scalp, nonscarring alopecia, and scarring alopecia except DLE. Normal scalp vessels include interfollicular red loops; and arborizing red lines. White patches are described as white structureless areas present on the skin/scalp. Usually, it is seen in scarring alopecias, like LPP, DLE, etc.
