The aim of this book is to focus on the critical care ultrasound for emergency situations and clinical applications. The field of ultrasonographic imaging has advanced very rapidly over the last three decades. It is a very unique imaging tool due to its portability, widespread availability and safety. This book is just an appetizer of the things to come, as in the coming years plan to add sections on orthopedic applications, applications of the skin and subcutaneous tissues as well as sections on obstetric emergencies. This workbook is a reflection of the needs of the new trainees and the advances and expertise available.
