The aim of this book is to provide appropriate detail about “Essentials of Gynecologic Pathology”. Gynecological pathology is a major component of histopathology. It is essential to have practical knowledge in this subject. In this book “Essentials of Gynecologic Pathology”, various lesions in gynecology and obstetrics are discussed. The etiology, clinical features, macroscopy, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology and treatment of gynecological lesions have been discussed. This book divided into 20 chapters, which includes embryology and developmental defects in female genital tract, inflammatory and benign neoplastic lesions of vulva, premalignant and malignant tumors of vulva, benign and malignant diseases of vagina, benign diseases of cervix, preneoplastic and neoplastic lesions of cervix, glandular and miscellaneous lesions of cervix, endometrium: benign lesions, uterus: preneoplastic lesions and carcinoma, mesenchymal tumor of uterus, anatomy, and histology and non-neoplastic lesions of ovary. Ovarian tumor: general aspect, epithelial carcinoma of ovary, sex cord tumors of ovary, germ cell tumor of ovary, metastatic and miscellaneous tumors of ovary, fallopian tube, pathology of placenta, gestational trophoblastic disease, and gross examination of the samples and synoptic reporting format are also provided in this book.
