This chapter mainly focuses on the epithelial carcinoma of ovary. The surface epithelial tumor of the ovary is broadly classified into various ways i.e. serous tumors, mucinous tumors, endometrioid tumors, clear cell tumors, transitional cell tumors, squamous cell tumors, mixed epithelial tumors and undifferentiated carcinoma, which are discussed in detail in throughout the chapter. Serous tumor represents nearly 46% of all ovarian tumors. The serous tumors are sub-classified as benign, borderline and malignant. The tumor is rare under 20 year of age and average age of the patient is 56 year. Mucinous tumor of ovary represents 12–15% of all ovarian neoplasm. The large majority of mucinous tumors are benign (75–80%), followed by carcinoma (15%) and borderline tumors (10%). Endometrioid tumor of ovary accounts for 2–4% of all ovarian tumors. Endometrioid tumors are much more frequently associated with endometriosis than other types of epithelial tumors of ovary and up to 42% of endometrioid carcinomas are associated with endometriosis of the ovary. Five well-illustrated tables and 86 well-colored figures are also presented in this chapter, which are very helpful for students and readers for better understanding.
