Abstract

The main concern of this chapter is to discuss the inflammatory and benign neoplastic lesions of vulva. Vulva is infected by a large number of organisms consisting of bacterial, fungal and viral infections. Many such infections are diagnosed by the clinical examination alone and pathologists play little role. Mons pubis labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, prepuce and vestibule are the anatomies of female external genitalia. This chapter also provides detail about the infectious diseases of vulva, non-infectious inflammatory diseases of vulva and bullous lesions of vulva. A detailed discussion on the vulvodynia and benign diseases of vulva has been provided in this chapter. Six well-illustrated tables and 21 well-colored figures are also presented in this chapter.
