Clinical cardiology is an essential qualification to become a good noninvasive clinical cardiologist and interventional cardiologist. With an aim to provide a comprehensive review on clinical cardiology, the “CSI Cardiology Update 2016” a cardiology update book has been presented. This book is divided into 14 sections which comprises of 116 chapters. The book comprises of chapters from the leading experts in the field of cardiology from India and overseas. The chapters encompasses the information from making of cardiologist, primary prevention, coronary artery disease, heart failure, preventive cardiology and atrial fibrillation to echocardiography and imaging and cardiovascular therapeutics which not only reflect the data but also allow implications of the data in Indian scenario. It can be used as an updated reference book. The highlighting feature of this book is that all chapters have been written in the Indian scenario and various clinical trials dealing with different patients suffering from cardiac disease. This will be very useful in clinical practice. It covers a section (section 13) which addresses some of the drugs available in the Indian markets for cardiovascular disorders which either are poorly understood or not used frequently.
