Abstract

Neuro-ophthalmology is an ophthalmic subspecialty that addresses the relationship between the eye and the brain, specifically disorders of the optic nerve, orbit, and brain, associated with visual symptoms. This chapter covers the visual pathway, lesions in the visual pathway, developmental anomalies and malformations, diseases of the optic nerve, Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON), anterior ischaemic optic neuropathies (AION), toxic optic neuropathy, papilloedema, optic atrophy, pupil, cranial nerve palsies, supranuclear control of ocular movements, and nystagmus. In this chapter, 73 multiple choice questions are provided along with their answers.
