The aim of this chapter is to focus on the assessment of visual function. Assessment of visual function involves the aspects following as visual acuity, colour vision, contrast sensitivity, and field of vision. Visual acuity is a measure of form sense and it is the spatial discrimination capacity of the visual system. Colour vision is the ability of the eye to discriminate between colours excited by light of different wavelengths. It is a function of the cones and hence best appreciated under photopic conditions. Contrast sensitivity is the ability to perceive slight change in luminance between regions which are not demarcated by sharp borders. In this chapter, three multiple choice questions are provided along with their answers.
