The Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) is committed to the continuous acquiring of knowledge for the betterment of women’s health in India. Placenta is considered as the Tree of Life and this book will be dealing with its abnormalities. Abnormal placentation poses a diagnostic and treatment challenge for all providers caring for pregnant women. Women need to undergo extensive surgeries such as obstetric hysterectomy and bladder repair at delivery which also has led to an increase in the severe maternal morbidity.
