Abstract

It is evident that AMT has gained an acceptable position in the surgical armamentarium of the ocular surface surgeon. The relative ease of the procedure, repeatability and freedom from intraocular intervention makes it an attractive surgical option. The low rate of intraoperative and postoperative complications and the avoidance of immunosuppression are other advantageous features of AMT.
