13Preface
Throughout the world the major cause of Maternal Mortality is Hemorrhage in Obstetrics. Of which post partum Hemorrhage, “the PPH” is more disastrous when the delivery is conducted at home, where there is lack of experience and non availability of blood and blood products.
Of the causes of PPH, Atonic PPH has the major share in Developing countries while Placenta Acreta has overtaken the lead over atonic PPH in the developed countries, where all the facilities to counteract the preventable hemorrhages are available.
So this monogram is presented as a comprehensive approach for the budding, practicing obstetricians and even to PGs as a Priliminary and concise outlook in known the clotting mechanism and to know “How” and “How to prevent” the bleeding occurring during delivery.
