Last 2–3 decades has shown tremendous technological advancement in every branch of medicine. However, branch of Radiology has shown revolution with the addition of many diagnostic modalities like Ultrasound, Multislice CT, MRI, PET and Digital Radiography, Colour Doppler and Interventional Procedures. Ultrasound being a non-invasive, non-ionic modality is a preferred and acceptable modality in a developing country like ours and is being used in evaluating diseases of virtually all parts of our body. Since ultrasound is an operator dependant, for its proper interpretation, correct technique has to be used. Keeping this in mind it is essential to have a book which will provide “step by step technique”. I am sure this book will definitely fill a void by providing comprehensive anatomical and practical step by step approach for ultrasound examination. This book will definitely serve as a guide book to all residents, practicing physicians and radiologists to know about the sonographic anatomy and technique of ultrasound examination.
