Good design has no absolute formula, it is the successful employment of aesthetic principles and element:

  • Rhythm
  • Balance
  • Harmony
  • Integrity and simplicity
  • Good proportion
  • Appropriateness of materials
  • Structural design
  • Color-use in hospital
  • Lighting-artificial
  • Natural
  • Psychological effect.
 
RESPONSIBILITY OF DESIGNERS/ARCHITECT
  1. In proper planning all principles are to be taken care of properly.
  2. To coordinate all elements of design to create functionally and aesthetically.
  3. Pleasing, healing environment to fulfill the total need of client or user.
  4. To use every square feet so that cost is justified.
  5. To visualize the last interior detail in the initial planning stage.
  6. Knowledge of appropriate styles of architecture, furniture and styles.
  7. Knowledge of materials to be used in construction, which are durable, maintenance free. All materials including floor wall, window upholstery should be well thought of.

  1. Lighting effects must be a mix of natural and artificial lights. Soothing colors have healing effects and spaces must be created considering these psychological aspects.

  7. In short designer/architect should be a person for whom there is liking, trust, faith and rapport. With whom one can design freely about all the views. A person who understands the client as well as the project.
