I have been trying to teach transvaginal ultrasound to junior doctor students ever since it was introduced in the armamentarium of diagnostic ultrasound. Each time I notice the difficulty which the learner faced in understanding the real time ultrasound picture. But as soon as, a schematic diagram was drawn it became easy to understand. This gave me the idea to bring out this atlas with the supporting schematic diagram.

The tedious work that went into this publication is dedicated to the numerous students who failed to understand the ultrasound pictures without the help of these schematic drawings.
