If people with cancer are to become partners with their doctors and health care teams in their recovery from their disease, then it is critical that they have an understanding of their illness and of the kinds of treatment that might be recommended.
This book on Step by Step Management of Chemo and Radiotherapy explains clearly and simply what to expect from both the forms of treatment, and outlines the many ways the individuals can cope with the side effects, and contribute to their own well-being during the period of recovery.
The support the patient gets is helpful and comforting not only to himself, but also to his family and friends. Hence, embrace support from everyone in this struggle for survival from ‘Cancer’. Now go forward in your treatment with understanding, optimism and energy.
