6Preface
This ‘Colour Atlas of Forensic Medicine’ is aimed at helping medical students, busy doctors, police officers and lawyers.
The medicolegal work is highly skilled work and needs extensive knowledge and ability to recognise and interpret correctly the post-mortem changes, injuries, diseases, etc.
In my medicolegal career spanning 25 years, I had noticed that many blunders of misinterpreting post-mortem changes, etc. are committed by doctors, investigating officers for want of practical experience and guidance.
This prompted me to go for the illustrated colour atlas which gives a rich account of practical aspects of the autopsy work.
