It is indeed my great pleasure to write a foreword for this very helpful hand book.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students lock information about various instruments and pathology specimens and usually falter in exams when asked how to describe these.
This hand book presents a clear picture of the instruments and the pathology specimen in Obstetrics/Gynecology and their brief and complete description.
The book by Dr Saunitra Inamdar and co-authors will go a long way in helping student understanding and will surely make them confident to face the exams.
I wish the book a grand success!

Every effort has been made to simplify the description for specimens and instruments in concise manner along with colored slides (photographs) of gross as well as microscopic appearance of pathological specimens. Most of the specimens are our own collection, removed for specific indication for surgery and preserved in the departmental museum. Some unique features of the atlas are:
We hope this atlas will be useful for our undergraduate and postgraduate students for their curriculum and facing the examination. Although every effort has been made to keep this atlas error free, in spite of this some printing errors might have crept in if you notice any mistake, error or discrepancy, we would be extremely thankful if the same are brought to our notice you may send valuable suggestions feedback or queries by email to meenakhatri@rediffmail.com
Suggestions for further improvement of the atlas will be gratefully acknowledged.
