7Preface
Ocular Syndromes and Systemic Diseases was my second book. My fellow eye resident Dr Bruce Herndon would stump me daily with another “weird” syndrome. I have always been troubled with a poor memory. Being compulsive, I felt it is important to compile a book of Ocular Syndromes and Systemic Diseases, so that I would not have to try to remember all of them.
This is a companion text to Ocular Differential Diagnosis (ODDX). ODDX has many lists of causes of diseases like ptosis, strabismus and others.
I am fortunate that Renee Tindall, who has worked with me for many years, has provided valuable aid on this and all the other editions.
