2Human growth and development is a continual changing process. It extends throughout the life cycle. However, the developmental changes take place from the time of conception to the end of adolescence. It is important for a nurse and parent to understand particularly this wonderful early period along with the total life cycle of an individual to provide better care for a growing child who would be a component of future pillar to form a strong nation.
