This is an era of awesome scientific technology the people all over the world experience changes from time-to-time for a better living and I thank God for showering abundant blessing of wisdom on human beings, his most beloved creation of all other creatures of this world. God made human beings and set a pattern of growth and development from birth to adolescent and this is beyond our comprehension, however, so far none or no technology on this earth could change this pattern of growth and development of human beings. Above all, it is important to understand growth in the most conducive environment to develop his/her potentials that are bestowed upon.
The author of the book Mrs S Ani Grace Kalaimathi, an ardent pediatric nurse educator had the vision to tell the families of all children of today and tomorrow to learn these processes and nurture their children to bring out the best of their potentials. It is my long-time desire to write A Quick Reference Guide to Child's Growth and Development for Nurses as well as to the parents. This present work is an attempt to help the child health nursing students to attend their viva voce examination confidently. I hope that I have covered most of the aspects of growth and development of children in a series of points' manner. Also, this manual will help the parents to understand their child's growth and development in an easy way. Mainly, the appendices cover a lot of topics, which is going to be a ready-reckoner for every student/parent.
