It gives me a great pleasure to write the Foreword for the book “Psychology for Graduate Nurses” by Dr Rajesh Konnur. The book is comprehensive. It covers all the components of human psychology such as attention, perception, motivation related learning and thinking. It covers developmental psychology, personality and other related areas of adjustment. The content also focuses on psychological problem and various test related to mental health and hygiene.
I think the efforts of the author are appreciable. I know Rajesh Konnur personally. He is hard-working, enthusiastic and challenging. I congratulate him for his exhaustive strive for the remarkable achievement.
I am confident that the book will be of great value for the nurse educators, students and clinicians who are interested in the human psychology and educational psychology as well as mental health.

This book is designed for those who seek a comprehensive view of the profession of psychology in nursing, readers will find a broad, detailed, in-depth information about the general concepts of psychology.
The contents of the book are prepared according to the syllabus of Indian Nursing Council to enable the nursing students to use it as a textbook for psychology. It will also helpful the nurse educators to teach and prepare students for their practical application. It can also be referred by other allied health professionals.
The whole book is divided into units. Each Unit provides introduction, contents, summary and review questions for self evaluation. At the end of the book a form is attached to get readers feedback. Readers can communicate for further improvement.
