This is not a textbook. This book is mainly designed to provide the basic training needed in gynecology that is necessary for one to identify, investigate, diagnose and manage the more common practical clinical problems. This is a good revision book for examination purpose and will be a quick reference guide for the practitioners and house officers.
Diagnosis, clinical photographs, micrographs, and the flow charts have been judiciously selected from a wide range of available materials. Major part of the book is written in questions and answers form, which are commonly asked in the undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. So it will be useful to those students preparing for MBBS, DGO, MD/MS (Obstetrics and Gynecology), DNBE examinations and even for nursing courses. Undergraduate students may go through the postgraduate questions and answers to secure good knowledge and marks in examination.
Unfortunately certain topics have had to be omitted to control its volume.
It is our hope that the book serves the purpose of every students, doctors and nurses to manage the difficult problems and encourage them in the field of gynecology and also for the practitioners in this specialty who desires of updating their knowledge.
We do hope that the readers will be benefited from this book and comments are invited for subsequent edition.
